Remote Learning & Catch-Up Funding
COVID-19 Catch-Up Premium Funding
In response to the national school lockdown of March - July 2020, the Government has created a 'Catch-Up' Premium to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time. An allocation of £80 per pupil will be awarded to schools, along with a subsidised National Tutoring Programme. Please see below our planned spending of such funding and how we will measure the impact of our approach.

You can help to slow the spread of coronavirus
Make sure you and your children follow these general principles to prevent spreading any respiratory virus:
- Wash your hands often – with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based sanitiser if soap and water aren’t available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Follow the latest Government advice - this changes frequently so ensure you keep up to date.
- Wear face coverings when using public transport and in shops and shared spaces.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin and wash your hands. Cough into your elbow if a tissue isn’t available.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home.
- If you have a cough or temperature, or loss of taste or smell, or anyone in your family does, then you all need to self-isolate for 10 days. You also need to self-isolate if someone you live with has tested positive, even if they are not displaying symptoms.
- Guidance on isolation continues to change so please always check the NHS website for the latest advice (the above 10-day isolation period was updated on 14 December 2020).
- If you’re worried about your symptoms, please use the NHS website or call NHS 111 – don’t go directly to your GP or other healthcare environment.
In school, all pupils have been taught about the importance of effective hand washing (including the use of sanitisers), along with respiratory hygiene.

Well-being
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important, especially when at home. This includes a healthy diet, sleeping well and exercising. You can also have social contact with loved ones at home and by email and phone with other family and friends.
Online Safety
Being ready to switch to remote learning means that we need to be extra careful with online safety. If you are worried about online abuse or the way someone has been communicating online, report this to your parents/carers or on CEOP. In such situations, the best thing to do is to block the person, and then report it on: www.ceop.police.uk
